I had just completed my digital painting course at Inverse when the pandemic hit. With more time on my hands, I decided to take on a detailed digital painting of one of my favorite scenes from Abbas Kiarostami's Close-Up (1990). It was the perfect opportunity to combine practice with a tribute to a cinematic masterpiece.
